Chad A. Fett, CFP® - Senior Vice President – Trust



Chad has been with First State Bank and Trust since 1987.  In 2001, he joined the Trust Team and is responsible for the day to day management of the department.  He enjoys working with clients on investment options, retirement planning, and trust administration.  Chad graduated from Concordia College and from the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado.  Chad has earned the designations Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and has earned his designation as a Certified Financial Planner®.  Chad lives in Hudson with his wife Heidi and their three children.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the St. Croix Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross and is an active member of the Hudson Daybreak Rotary Club.

Kathleen M. Elbert, CFP® - Vice President – Trust



Kathy is involved with all aspects of trust administration, including investments and income tax. Kathy joined the Trust Services Department in 1998, bringing with her over 10 years of previous trust experience. Her professional designations include Certified Financial Planner, Accredited Tax Preparer, and Accredited Asset Management Specialist. She also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota.

Robert M. Gray, CRPC® - Vice President – Trust

Bob is a graduate of the University of Iowa and holds the professional designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®).  With over twenty years of financial services experience, he assists clients with financial planning, portfolio management, investment analysis, estate planning, and trust administration.  He also has responsibility for client relationship management, marketing, and new business development.  Bob is a member of the Stillwater Sunrise Rotary Club, President of the Ponies Touchdown Club, former President of the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association, and has been a volunteer coach for numerous youth football, basketball, soccer, and baseball teams.  He resides in Stillwater with his wife and their two sons.

Brad Hallett, ChFC®  - Trust Officer

As a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Brad has over eighteen years of financial services experience.  He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas (UST) and earned an M.B.A. from the Opus College of Business at UST.  He assists clients with financial planning, portfolio management, investment analysis, estate planning, and trust administration.  He also has responsibility for client relationship management, marketing, and new business development.  Brad lives in Bayport with his wife.  He serves on the Board of Directors of The Foundation for Bayport Public Library and serves as a member of the Bayport Planning Commission; he is also a participating volunteer with FamilyMeans' Youth Development Initiative.  Brad is an avid cyclist and can regularly be found riding the scenic roads within Washington County and St. Croix County with Chilkoot Velo or Big Ring Flyers cycling club.
